Do you sometimes cook too much pasta for lunch? Where are the remains? Here are some great ideas to spice up your daily menu and use leftovers for honey.

Sometimes it’s hard to plan how much pasta to eat for a meal, so they often stay put and we definitely don’t want to throw them away. But if you used them today to make your favorite pasta, you can add them to soup tomorrow and you can make dessert out of them too.

Always something new

There are countless ways to use pasta, and if you served it with meat sauce yesterday, you can add vegetables today, completely changing the recipe. They also go well with dried fruits. Sprinkled with sugar or ground nuts, however, they quickly replace dessert. Cold ones can also be mixed with any vegetables and toppings and made into a salad, or they can be baked in the oven to make a delicious gratin dish. We quickly put together a few simple ideas on how to use up leftover cooked pasta, but of course you’re free to experiment to the point of helplessness.

Why do we cook pasta “to the teeth” or “al dente”?

Italians love “pasta” or so-called “al dente”, which for many is still half raw when bitten. But this preparation allows us to finish cooking the pasta only when we mix it with the sauce or bake it in the oven. Among other things, the sauce ensures that the pasta does not stick together during baking. When we cook them in the same pan with the sauce, by mixing, we ensure that the sauce is hidden between the buns and the “ribs,” making the pasta even more flavorful. Grated cheese, served with a meal or baked on top of pasta, always provides the ultimate flavor, of course.

With this recipe, we recycle up to two dishes at a time. Soup left over from yesterday and noodles. Pasta can be added to any soup that we haven’t added stew to, as this is how we make a hearty dish or stew. If you have leftover beef soup from the day before, quickly sauté some vegetables in oil, return them to the cooked soup and add the noodles. The result is a delicious vegetable soup that you can serve as a separate dish or treat yourself to a hearty snack.
