RECIPE: A refreshing cake you can eat without a guilty conscience? (PS It’s divine, checked!) – Just for you

On those May days, when more than half of the people are seriously preparing for the bathing season and are busy walking to Šmarna gora, we prefer to run around the Internet and discover new recipes.

No judgment please, someone, but we have to be careful not to starve. 😉

Our keen eye for delicious desserts this time ended up on Midva kuhava’s Facebook page, where we spotted the above photo.

You’re already drooling, aren’t you?

We liked it too, and because we wanted to test whether the cake is really as good as it looks, we started making it ourselves.

Tjaša and Blaž, the authors of the blog Midva kuhava, chose a really lucky name for the cake, viz A dutiful conscientious objectorfor which you will need the following ingredients.

Biscuit:

  • 3 eggs
  • 60 grams of sugar
  • 60 grams of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of milk
  • Strawberry jam with 100% fruit content

Cream:

  • 4 cups light weight yogurt
  • 250 ml sweet cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (or to taste)
  • 8 sheets of gelatin
  • 20 strawberries

Op All ingredients are recorded for a 24 cm diameter baking pan.

Preparation procedure:

1. Prepare the biscuit according to the standard instructions.

Stir the sugar into the egg yolks and beat until foamy, beat the egg whites until stiff. Then add milk to the yolks and add sifted flour. Mix everything together and add the egg white. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and bake the biscuits in the preheated oven 180 degrees Celsius, 15 – 18 minutes.

2. For the cream, you must first whip the sweet cream until stiff.

You mix any amount of powdered sugar into the yogurt. Prepare the gelatin according to package directions and mix with the yogurt using an electric mixer. Then add the whipped cream to the yoghurt mixture.

3. Place a cake ring around the cookie and cover with acetate foil.

We skipped this step and the cake didn’t have as nice a rim as a result. Spread the biscuit with strawberry jam and top with the upturned strawberries that you cut off the stems earlier. Drizzle with yoghurt cream.

4. The cake should stand in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours.

Better yet, leave them there overnight.

5. The decoration is left to your current inspiration.

How did we fare and the final grade?

This is a recipe that will be in the game many times this year. The cake is light, refreshing and actually easy to make.

Right. We already mentioned that it only has one piece 418 kJ (100 kcal) !!
